The Coastal 28 is a classic designed shaft driven cruiser. Together with a solid fibreglass construction and aesthetic teak, the Coastal 28 is a low maintenance vessel with classic features and like no other on the Australian market. Coupled with her planning hull and powered by 170Hp Turbo charged diesel the Coastal 28 has the cruise speed of 15kts and a sprint speed of 20kts. Also with the provision of twin 200 litre fuel tanks giving you the ability to open your horizons for long range coastal cruising. Accommodation for two consists of a spacious twin V berth perfect for a weekend away or an afternoon snooze after along day of boating. Equipped with internal teak dinette for entertaining or company whilst underway the internal layout offers comfort not only for the skipper, also for passengers. The Coastal 28 also has a spacious uncluttered cockpit perfect for fishing and entertaining without cluttered engine boxes or raised decks unlike other manufactures of vessels this size. This has become possible because of the shaft driven nature of the vessel since the engine is mid ship not placed aft like many stern driven power plants. This not only gives the vessel a more comfortable arrangement but increases stability since the weight is evenly distributed throughout the vessel.
